This photo was taken last year whilst on my EESC103 (Climatology) field trip. I thought it portrayed quite well some of the damage that the human race inflicts upon this planet. Mind you I did make it look considerably more polluted than it actually was with smoke effects and the like but perhaps sometime in the future this will be the air we breathe.
btw for those of you who are wondering this is the Port Kembla Steelworks, Copper Smelter and surrounding industry, NSW, Australia.
P.S. I'm not an enviro- pro-greenpeace tree-hugger, it just made me stop and think when I saw it.
